Ricky Martin‘s recent woes are over. At least legally.
Because the icon’s nephew has withdrawn scandalous claims that threatened to rock the performer’s career.

As reported, the star’s 21-year-old nephew accused the Latin heartthrob of having a sexual relationship with him and thereafter harassing him.
Martin fervently denied the shocking claims and was set to tell a judge the same Zoom at a preliminary hearing today (July 21).
However, in a dramatic twist, the accuser has withdrawn his claims – ultimately ending the entire episode.
A judge in Puerto Rico, where the case was initially filed, motioned to dismiss the case in the wake of the accuser standing down. The restraining order in place has also been tossed.
Martin’s legal team says:
“Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the court. The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure.
And the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter. The request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case. This was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them. We are glad that our client saw justice done and can now move forward with his life and his career.””
