Ricky Martin‘s legal tussle with his nephew continues to grow more intense and complex by the day.

Because fresh from the initial sexual assault claims being withdrawn and the singer suing his relative for $20 million for extortion and costing him gigs by damaging his reputation with the “false allegations,” Dennis Yadiel Sanchez has filed a fresh suit.

And once again, Martin’s reps are shooting it down with reasons that are compelling.

The new sexual assault lawsuit was filed in San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 9.

Reps for the 50-year-old superstar moved swiftly to slam the suit.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Martin’s lawyer José Andréu-Fuentes said:

“These claims are wildly offensive and completely untethered from reality. When this man previously made similar allegations, his legal case had to be withdrawn — not least because he himself admitted under oath that Ricky Martin had never assaulted him in any way.

Now, after being sued for trying to extort Mr. Martin, he is attempting to spread his lies again. It is beyond time that the media stops giving this deeply troubled individual the oxygen of publicity and allows him to get the help he so clearly needs.”
