Although the 40th anniversary of Tina Turner‘s 1984 comeback megahit, ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It,’ is two years away, the royal celebration for the Queen of Rock N’ Roll’s enduring classic is getting underway early thanks to toymaker extraordinaire Mattel.

As part of their Barbie Signature Music Series, Mattel made headlines recently with the announcement of the release of a limited-edition Barbie doll in honor of ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It.’
Rocking a black mini-dress and denim jacket akin to Turner’s wardrobe in the song’s unforgettable, Mark Robinson-directed music video, the Barbie’s look is accentuated by the Rock diva’s signature spikey blonde hair.
“I am honored to welcome my Barbie into the group of trailblazing women already represented and introduce more kids to my journey,” Tina, 82, said in a statement.
Available online for an introductory price of $55 at MattelCreations.com, Amazon, Walmart, and Target, the Barbie comes with a microphone accessory and stand as well as a certificate of authenticity for collectors.
