BTS To Go On Hiatus, Will Serve Mandatory Military Duties

Published: Tuesday 18th Oct 2022 by Ryan

After dazzling audiences all over the globe with their electric performances, BTS will go on hiatus.

Find out why inside…

According to The Washington Post, all members of the ionic K-pop group will serve their mandatory military duties.

Big Hit Music shared a statement confirming the news and all of the members are currently “looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment.”

Under South Korean law, healthy men are required to serve between 18-21 months of military service before they turn 30. The ages of BTS range from 25-30.

The news that the group would be going on hiatus comes after BTS released their anthology album, ‘Proof,’ earlier this year.
