George Michael’s ‘Older’ To Return To #1 On UK Album Chart

Published: Wednesday 5th Oct 2022 by Ryan

George Michael is set to posthumously dominate the charts.

Case in point, his album ‘Older’ is on pace to return to #1 on the UK album chart.

More details below…

The pop icon leads this week’s midweek survey, which enjoys the reissue treatment, including its first-ever release on vinyl.

Previously, the album topped the chart in the UK upon its original release and spawned two UK chart-topping singles, ‘Jesus To A Child’ and ‘Fastlove.’

Additionally, it became his biggest-selling non-compilation album in his home country, achieving over 1.8 million copies sold, and receiving a 6× Platinum certification by the BPI.

It is worth noting that rock band Slipknot is close behind at #2 with their album, ‘The End So Far.’ Only 2,500 copies separate Michael and the rock group at this point.
