Fans of Kelly Rowland, affectionately called #RowlandStones, are still talking about the diva’s heartwarming visit to Angie Martinez‘s ‘IRL‘ podcast Wednesday (October 5) – days after the show first hit airwaves.
And after one peek at the jam-packed interview, you’ll see why.
When not dishing on parenting styles and breaking generational cycles, the Angie and Kelly got emotional over discussing the journeys to finding their biological fathers and so much more.
Among the standout moments of the 40-minute chat came via Rowland’s recollection of 2018’s ‘Coachella,’ which was headlined by her lifelong friend and former Destiny’s Child groupmate, Beyonce.
“It was so much fun,” said Rowland in response to Martinez’s mention of ‘Coachella.’ “The funny thing is I had this moment where I was like ‘I really love performing with the girls.’ I had to think about it like ‘do I like performing by myself’? I like performing by myself especially when I get the luxury of rehearsals and time. But, I love it with the girls.”
When not reflecting glowingly on performing with Destiny’s Child, Kelly – like many of Beyonce’s fans – expressed her excitement in anticipation of live performances of the hits that line the megastar’s latest album, ‘Renaissance.’
“I miss seeing Bey perform,” the ‘Motivation‘ singer revealed. “We haven’t seen her perform in how long?”
Elsewhere, Rowland praised Bey’s work ethic, which she even admitted eventually rubbed off on her.
“Her [work ethic] is different. It’s like another whole beast. It’s so funny because her being that focused in that space made me come up in another space that I’m just as excited about,” Kelly started. “So, I’m like I don’t have to pay attention to that much details. I watch the way she works; it’s so incredibly intricate. It’s something that you’re born with. You either have it, or you don’t, and it’s really dope focus and it’s one of the many reasons that makes her so f*cking dope.”

Yesssss I was waiting on this.. it’s sad that people still saying living in somebody else shadow when Kelly has had a great solo again solo career.. out of a hour interview she talked about her sister Bey for 2mins but y’all act like she talked about her the whole hour.. yes because she does it on every interview she put herself into that oposition in this intervie it was ok and she spoke facts but even in interviews were nobod askoing for B she brings her up so dont wionder that people react like that
