The life and times of Jeffrey Dahmer, one of America’s most-documented serial killers, has captured the attention of millions once again thanks to Ryan Murphy‘s wildly popular Netflix series, ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.’
Beyond garnering a record number of viewers since its September 21 release, it’s also spurred a firestorm of controversy and conversation on social media with commenters ranging from everyday people to politicians, sports stars, entertainment celebrities, and more.
Among the latter is R&B singer Lyfe Jennings, who took to Instagram Monday (October 3) to recount his alleged experience with Dahmer when the two were in prison at the same time in 1992 – even claiming to have sung a requested tune for the infamous murderer he referred to as “the little homie.”
Met with mostly negative responses, from some claiming the unsolicited tale was pure fiction to some suggesting it was insensitive or clout-chasing, Jennings (born Chester Jermaine Jennings) returned to IG shortly after to hit back at detractors.

As seen in the video above, Jennings took to Instagram to share a 3-part tale about his alleged time with Dahmer.
“He was like, ‘Yo, that’s you down there singing?’ I’m like, ‘Yo, it was me down there signing, you see me down there, man.’ So, he was like, ‘I like R&B.’ I’m like, ‘You like R&B? He’s like, Yeah, yeah,'” Jennings shared. “Y’all will never guess what song he asked me did I know: ‘Mint Condition’s ‘Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes).’“
Once met with criticism for seemingly glorifying the serial killer or flat-out making up the interaction, Lyfe returned to Instagram to share parts 2 and 3 of his story and deny reports it wasn’t true.

Promising part 3 would be the end of his reference of Dahmer, Jennings concluded the backlash has discouraged him from sharing more about their alleged time together.
“This world is so judgmental so ima head out back to mine… last part of the story…the rest I’ll tell in a interview somewhere on mars…,” he captioned the final IG clip.
Sweetheart why don’t you just stick to singing and STOP talking PLZ.
You could have offered the victims Families condolences, instead you’re making it all about you.
Classic narcissistic behavior.
A lot of you guys need to hire a publicist because you’re not too bright AT ALL!!!

Shut your lying asz up, I don’t believe OUNT story he told in regards to Dahmer (if that’s the case he would have BEEEN revealed this)..since you want to “tell stories” though tell the world why you really murdered LaLa Brown and her boyfriend Koolaide? You don’t want to go there now, do you Lyfe Jennings? 🙄 I never could stand this man and his dry vocals..sound like he eats hay before he belts out those awful tunes.
You proud of that? That should have went to your grave.
He really said “the world is too judgmental” after boasting about serenading a serial killer and r*****. I wish cancel culture was real so some of these idiots would really feel it
How old is he? I find it hard to believe that Lyfe is old enough to have been in prison 30 years ago.
So I did some research. Lyfe is 44 years old, which means he was 16 when Dahmer died in 1994. I’m calling cap because at 16 years old you’re in juvenile detention. Additionally, Lyfe is from Ohio. Dahmer was jailed in Wisconsin……….
Lol….Yup.
Life must be high and unbooked. Clearly he needs attention. Stay on Mars.
-Unapologetically of course, B.
The math wasn’t mathing for me either. Thanks for clearing that up. We aren’t here for a clout chasing liar!
he was actually charged as an adult for his crime, hence why he was in the same population as dahmer. that part is actually true. he was there at the same time, but no one can prove if he actually encountered the dude
