Preview: Chris Brown’s Now-Platinum ‘Under the Influence’ Is FINALLY Getting the Music Video Treatment [Watch]

Buzz around Chris Brown‘s latest album, the June-released ‘Breezy,’ may have come and gone, but the singer’s dedicated fans (affectionately called #TeamBreezy) are still keeping other tunes from his jam-packed discography front-and-center on social media and music charts.

Three years after the ‘Indigo’ track ‘Under the Influence’ first landed on digital outlets, the Kiddominant-produced bop began dominating Tik Tok reels – a feat that helped it fly up global and domestic Apple Music sales charts and eventually reach the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.

In a bid to push it even higher on the latter tally, Brown has unveiled a sneak peek at the song’s long-awaited forthcoming music video.

Taking to Instagram Thursday (October 13), Chris shared a 20-second sneak peek of the cinematic clip set to accompany ‘Influence.’  And while he indicated the visual is ‘coming soon’ (as seen above), he did not announce a specific drop date.

The news comes as the latest #TeamBreezy is celebrating and follows reports from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Monday (October 10) that ‘Under’ now sits over the organization’s sales threshold for Platinum certification, meaning it’s sold the equivalent of 1 million copies in the United States alone.

Joining a slew of other Brown hits like ‘Run It,’ ‘No Guidance,’ ‘Loyal,’ and ‘Kiss Kiss‘ certified as high or higher, the 33-year-old – with 92 million singles sold over his career – is now the third best-selling male singer of the digital age.  Among male acts, only The Weeknd (98 million) and Justin Bieber (109.5 million) have sold more.

When all acts are considered, Brown ranks 11th on the all-time digital music sellers list. His impressive cumulative sales follow Eminem (166 million), Drake (164 million), Rihanna (155.5 million), Kanye West (135.5 million), Taylor Swift (134 million), Beyonce (114 million), Bieber, Katy Perry (109.5 million), The Weeknd, and Post Malone (95 million).
