Chaka Khan is letting her stance be known.
For, she is now calling out singers who use auto-tune.

Speaking with Page Six, Khan opened up about the current state of music and why people who use auto-tune should get a new job, one other than singing.
“There is some great stuff out there and there are some great artists. There’s some very fine young artists out there doing great great work that I am impressed with,” she said.
“But the others, they just need to get them a job at the Post Office — they are always hiring! People are using auto-tune. They need to get to the Post Office quick,” she continued.
This is not the first time this year that the music legend has taken aim at the process of altering vocals. Previously, she criticized Kanye West for making her sound “like a chipmunk” on his song ‘Through The Wire’ (as we reported here).

Music is a profession but people abuse it just to get rich and famous.

She is right but music is an art form and I may not like auto tune but it is an artist tool.
You can be a music artist, it doesn’t mean that you are a singer.
And I miss big voice singers.. it’s like they are an extinct animals
They’re not extinct, they’ve either migrated back over to gospel music or are on indy r&b labels. The people that buy music these days are more interested in synthetic sounds than vocal ability.

Most of the voices on the radio have a synthetic quality to them.
She is not wrong. But hearing her singing the National Anthem live, she could have used some auto-tune then.
