Having sold over 220 million records worldwide, Pop icon Mariah Carey is no stranger to seeing her name atop many-a-music tally over the last 30 years.

In late 2020, she proved her dominion wasn’t limited to the music realm when her memoir – ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey’ – was placed at the pinnacle of the New York Times’ Best Seller list.

With her latest foray into authorship, the November 1-released ‘Christmas Princess,’ the 52-year-old seems poised to repeat the feat.

As reported here, Carey is hot on the promo trail in support of ‘Princess’ – her first Children’s book (which features illustrations by Fuuji Takashi and was co-written by the diva’s memoir co-writer Michaela Angela Davis).

Peeks at real-time book sales rankings suggest those efforts are paying off.

At writing, ‘Princess’ is reigning at #1 on Amazon’s best seller list in “Children’s Self-Esteem Books” and “Children’s Christmas Books” categories. It’s also found at #2 in “Children’s Performing Arts Fiction” category.

Among all Children’s books, ‘Princess’ ranks at #19 right now while sitting at #34 on the site’s sales tabulation of all books (regardless of genre).  This, despite only 4 days of availability.

The wins aren’t limited to Amazon, however.  At Barnes & Noble, the book has already cracked the top 300 best sellers and is rising.

The early commercial response to ‘Princess’ could bode well for its chances of placing on the updated New York Times Best Sellers list once it updates next week.
