Country-pop icon Shania Twain has unleashed her latest album, ‘Queen of Me.’ A vulnerable and celebratory snapshot of her life in this moment, the album has some of her finest songs in years. Case in point, the breezy twang of ‘Inhale/Exhale AIR.’ A perfect melding of her country roots with her undeniable pop sensibilities, the song recalls hits like ‘It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing’ and ‘Forever and Always’ in terms of production. Easily the best song on the project, ‘Inhale/Exhale AIR’ is a powerful statement that even years into the business, Twain is as sharp and potent as ever.

Ellie Goulding – Like A Saviour

Ellie Goulding is gearing up to release her newest album – ‘Higher Than Heaven’ – on March 24. Now, she has released the latest taste of what we can expect from the project with the song ‘Like A Saviour.’ The song’s subject matter is romantic as Goulding praises a lover for saving her. As for the production, it is complete with a pulsating baseline and 80’s inspired synths that combine together to form an all out pop banger.

Inhaler – If You’re Gonna Break My Heart

Indie-rock band Inhaler has a new album called ‘Cuts & Bruises’ coming out on February 17 and to celebrate, they have shared the song ‘If You’re Gonna Break My Heart.’ Across the song, Bob Dylan’s influence can be felt with the twangy guitars, touches of piano, and a steady beat. Easily a song that could have fit in the heyday of the singer-songwriter movement, Inhaler has created a tune that is can stand the test of time.

Caroline Polachek – Blood And Butter

Caroline Polachek has treated fans to another taste of her upcoming album ‘Desire, I Want To Turn Into You’ – out February 14. The new song, entitled ‘Blood and Butter,’ is a sparking synth-pop song complete with bagpipes on the outro. One of her most interesting song’s to date, Polachek continues to pave new ground in her storied career.
