Chart Check [Billboard 200]: The Weeknd’s ‘Die For You’ Remix Helped His 2016 ‘Starboy’ LP Shoot Back Into Top 10

The Weeknd‘s ‘Die For You’ remix with Ariana Grande appears to be the gift that keeps on giving.

The 7-year-old sleeper hit was already experiencing a reignited victory lap on the Hot 100 thanks to awakened interest on Tik Tok, but the inclusion of the Pop princess on its official reissue helped it capture the hitlist’s crown this week to historic measure (as we reported here).

What’s more, peruse of other Billboard tallies shows the wins don’t stop there for the Canadian hitmaker (born Abel Tesfaye).

See what we mean inside.

The updated Billboard 200 reveals Tesfaye’s third studio album, 2016’s ‘Starboy,’ has shot back into the top 10 nearly 7 years after release courtesy of the ongoing success of its housed hit ‘Die.’

Landing in the chart territory for the first time since 2017, ‘Die’ helped ‘Starboy’ move 40,000 additional units over the last sales tracking week – enough to place it at #9 on the tally’s refreshed edition.

The attached figure, which comes in the LP’s 278th week of charting, represents a whopping 73% increase in sales + streaming activity over the prior week.
