Meghan Trainor is backtracking on comments she made about teachers.

Trainor made some ‘careless’ comments on her ‘Workin’ On It’ podcast about teachers that had the internet spiraling.
“Everyone on TikTok is like, ‘This is what it’s like having kids in America. I have a bulletproof backpack.’ I was like, ‘F*** all that … f*** teachers, dude,” she said in the April 19 clip.

Since making those comments, the internet has been ablaze with comments demanding she apologize.
Within hours of the TikTok surfacing, the ‘All About That Bass’ singer apologized over her remarks.
“Teachers of TikTok and teachers of the world, I recently said ‘F teachers’ on the podcast and it’s not how I feel. I was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school here in America is so horrific,” she said.
“I am sorry for being careless with my words. I love teachers, and I am here for you. Let’s work to make schools a better place together. They are the most unappreciated when they literally raise all of us. I don’t want to make excuses, I just want to [say] I am so so sorry.” she continued.

Is she not aware teachers have been shot and killed also? Teachers have died shielding their students from gunfire. I’m not sure if her white woman tears will work in her favor after that statement.
