Offset Says He & Cardi B Have Reached ‘Icon Status’ / Reveals Chloe, Latto, & Future Will Be on His New Album

It’s Offset‘s time to shine.

Over 4 years after watching his debut studio album, Father of 4,’ soar to the top 5 of the Billboard 200, the former Migos star is looking to reach even higher Billboard heights with its follow-up as revealed by his spread in the latest ‘Variety‘ magazine.

“Offset has made a phenomenal album; we can’t wait until the world hears his masterpiece,” a Capitol spokesperson told the publication. “We’re deep into release planning now and will soon have big news to share!”

Ahead of that big news (which will likely include the official release date and confirmation of the rumored solo tour to follow), Offset (born Kiari Cephus) shared his GRAMMY-winning wife Cardi B will lead a megawatt roster of guest stars on the project that also includes Chloe Bailey, Travis Scott, Latto, Future, and more.

When not hyping up the forthcoming LP, Cephus dished on his personal relationship with Cardi, meteoric rise to fame, and so much more in the chat.

When not shining in designer duds like Dior, Balenciaga, Gucci, and more for ‘Variety’ (under the lensing of famed photographer Mason Poole), Cephus was turning the spotlight to his doting wife – even referring to the Rap diva as his ‘bestie.’

“She always got my back, right or wrong. We both are on the same mission to make each other better. Social is her strong point, so I listen to her social advice,” he said before later sharing, “We’re a powerhouse at this point — icon status. We believe in God. We believe in family. We’re always going to keep winning.”

Cardi wasn’t shy about echoing the sentiment.

“What I appreciate about my husband is that no matter what issue I am having personally or professionally, I know he will take care of me and our family,” she shared. “It’s handled. I know that I have a man who has my back for real. I fully support him in this next chapter of his music career.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Kiari opened up about still reeling from the loss of his former Migos groupmate Takeoff.

“Talking about Take is hard, man. Talking about all this sh*t is hard. That’s why I don’t, to be honest. That sh*t hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood. Some things I don’t never tell nobody. He’s not here. That sh*t feels fake,” he said.

Father of 4 was borderline magnificent. Will definitely be streaming this New one. I predict 50k-75K SPS. Don’t Lose Me was my fav Track.

They are not icons. Being successful does not make you an icon. What have you done to change or shape the industry? That’s what makes you an icon.

Him and his botched Drag Queen Cardi are not ICONS. Icons are Michael Jackson, Prince, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Erykah Badu, I can name a ton of others but they are definitely not in this category.

Icon? What a joke !!! People love to use that word loosely. Offset and cardi have done nothing or even close or near to being an icon . Cardi and her ABC rap go sit somewhere .
