With the BET Awards 2023 just days away, organizers for Culture’s Biggest Night have officially unveiled this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award: Busta Rhymes.

The Hip-Hop pioneer has blazed an inimitable trail and is set to be celebrated at the June 25 ceremony – which airs live from the Microsoft Theater.

Busta will be honored an all-star tribute from the likes of: Bia, Coi Leray, Cutty Ranks, Dexta Daps, M.O.P., Rah Digga, ScarLip, Spice, Supercat, Swizz Beatz, and more.

Scott Mills, CEO of BET said in a statement:

The announcement comes on the same day Busta unveiled his new single ‘Beach Ball’ featuring Bia.

This year’s BET Awards 2023 air LIVE on BET on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8 PM ET/ 5 PM PT.

Previously announced performers include GloRilla, Coco Jones, Doechii, Lil Uzi Vert, and an action-packed celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop.
