The rapper received quite the backlash after forcibly attempting to kiss the raunchy femcee twice in Atlanta at The Crew League.
For many who watched the now-viral clip, the sentiment was that YK’s actions defined inappropriate. It sparked broad discourse about how vital it is for people to not cross lines because of one’s public facing persona.
After reflection (and quite the lashing on social media), YK clearly agrees. For, the 24-year-old issued a public apology to Suki.
He wrote:
“I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior. I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize. I have the utmost admiration for Sukihana and it was never my intention to disrespect her.”
His words come after Suki deactivated her Twitter after expressing how hurt she was after the encounter.
