Tina Knowles-Lawson and Richard Lawson are the latest celebrity couple heading to splitsville, if reports are to be believed.
According to news broken by our friends at TMZ, Knowles-Lawson – mother of music megastar Beyonce – took to the courts Wednesday (July 26) to file for divorce from her actor/husband after 8 years of marriage.
Listing the date of separation as Tuesday (July 25), the actress-philanthropist-businesswoman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the marriage’s dissolution.
At the time of this report neither party has issued an official statement about the marriage status, but the court docs obtained by news outlets have spelled out that Tina has petitioned the court to terminate the ability of any spousal support being awarded to herself or Richard.
