Iggy Azalea’s Full Letter of Support for Tory Lanez Revealed: He’s a “Light” Not an “Abuser”

Published: Thursday 10th Aug 2023 by Sam

Iggy Azalea made headlines this week when it emerged that she penned a letter of support for Tory Lanez ahead of his sentencing for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

Convicted in December 2022, Lanez was handed a 10-year sentence after being found guilty for his role in the July 2020 incident.

After receiving ample backlash for her supporting the disgraced Canadian star, Azalea claimed she wasn’t “supporting” him (in the literal sense) and didn’t know that her letter was for the judge’s eyes only.

Well, the letter is now on public record and has surfaced online.

And, upon reading, it’s clear that Azalea went to bat (hard) for her embattled friend.

Full story below…

Legal journalist Meghann Cuniff (who social media users affectionately christened “Megan Thee Reporter” for her extensive coverage of the trial) shared Azalea’s letter.

Echoing what was earlier revealed, Azalea did indeed plead for a sentence that was “transformative” and not “life destroying.”

She went on to brand Lanez as a “light” and added that “I would not write to you on behalf of an abuser.”

The ‘Fancy’ femcee also mentioned that she has hired his staff “full-time” to give them work in Lanez’s lengthy absence.

Sigh.

After her beyond obnoxious letter, the judge gave Lanez 10 years, then tracked down every English teacher Iggy’s ever had and sentenced them to life in a hard labor camp in Mississippi.
