Taking to press, Billboard announced that Swift’s song ‘Cruel Summer’ has risen to the #1 spot on the Pop Airplay chart. Because of this, it scores her 12th leader.
What’s more, they report that Swift has broken her tie with Maroon 5, Katy Perry, and Rihanna for most #1’s on the chart. According to Billboard, “Swift claims the mark all to herself with a song that has been out for nearly four years.”
‘Cruel Summer’ first appeared on Swift’s ‘Lover’ album and has since seen a resurgence in popularity and has gone on to become the first #1 Pop Airplay hit from the record.
