Miley Cyrus is getting candid about the price of fame and the cost of touring.
More details below…
Cyrus has been doing a ‘Used To Be Young’ series on TikTok to support her single of the same now. On the latest installment of the series, Cyrus discussed the price of her ‘Bangerz’ tour and why she didn’t make any money on it.
“The Bangerz Tour was an investment in myself. I didn’t make a dime on this tour because I wanted the tour to be excellent,” she said.
“When everyone kept saying, ‘Why are you doing this? You’re going to do like 100 shows and not going to make any money.’ I said, ‘There’s no one I would rather invest in than myself.’ So I paid for it all to make it exactly what I thought I and the fans deserved,” Miley continued.
Elsewhere in the series, Cyrus got candid about other moments from her infamous era.
Check out the video of her explaining her tour below:

Well that was dumb
so she’s going on tour for money not for fans…. ok, I see why her white trash ass aint going tour this time. It must be sucks only singing to empty seats and security guards.
You obviously don’t know the business. You make money touring not in album or singles
she was so fame hungry that whole era. all them publicity stunts. that tour looled expensive so i can see how she mightve not made much or any $. this has happened many times. madonna didnt make any money from her mdna tour because she wanted it to look extravagant. thats why her next tour waa scaled down so much. same with janet. her last 2 tours were very minimal special effects & profited her the most $ of her entire career
Her veneers are too big.
Ikr she’s giving bugz bunny
How do you do a tour and not make any money? Were the tickets free?
She invested her own money into an over the top production and didn’t see a profit. Plus you have a team that needs to be paid as well. That’s why most tours are sponsored because the costs can become extravagant.
I see. Thanks.
Clearly not. Business isn’t your thing.
