After playing assistant on a number of well-received cuts for the better part of the year, Muni Long has made ‘Made for Me‘ her inaugural solo release of 2023.
The first taste of official music she’s dropped since the unveiling of her debut album, 2022’s ‘Public Displays of Affection: The Album,’ ‘Made’ boasts production credits from legendary producer-songwriters Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.
“Can’t even deny it, every time I try it / One look in my eyes, you know I’m lyin’, lyin’ / Body to body, skin to skin (I’m never gon’ love like this) / I’m never gon’ love like this again (Again, yeah) / You were made for me (Just for me),” she croons on the sultry tune.
Believed to be a foretaste of the sounds set to line her sophomore album (due on digital shelves next year), hop inside to get acquainted with ‘Made.’
It’s cute, if not a little dated-sounding – could easily be a Jagged Edge or Mariah Carey cut from the 00s.
I want to hear Tamar sing this. It has a nice sound and I wish it had a good bridge.
