Because, fresh from Cassie filing a bombshell lawsuit alleging rape and years of sexual abuse, a new report claims the New York Police Department have an open criminal investigation against the star.

Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ report that the NYPD have an active investigation open about on the Bad Boy mogul.
Said to be filed under his birth name “Sean Combs,” the investigation is reportedly “locked” – relaying that the content within is considered of a sensitive nature.
It’s been suggested that the latter may well refer to sexual assault allegations. Hence, the heightened level of sensitivity.
As reported, the likes of 50 Cent and Danity Kane members Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and D. Woods have weighed in. The latter, all of whom were once signed to Diddy, have been vocal with their support for Cassie.
There has been no public response from Diddy as of writing.
