Over 50 years after making its debut the Glastonbury Festival is still finding ways to tread new territory.
Per recent reports, Queen of Pop Madonna – already rocking arenas around the world aboard the critically acclaimed ‘Celebration Tour’ – is set to bring some of that magic to the 2024 Glastonbury stage.
Set to act as the event’s closer on Sunday night, the Pop Queen leads a duo of hitmaking headliners – Dua Lipa and Coldplay – who have reportedly signed on for top billing at the fest’s Friday and Saturday night’s showing respectively.
According to organizers, landing Lipa and Madge marks the the first time that two female artists have headlined in Glastonbury’s history. While the former has performed at the highly anticipated annual event in the past, she’s never headlined. Madonna, on the other hand, has never graced the Glastonbury stage. Coldplay have headlined four times before – in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2016.
Glastonbury 2024 will be held from June 26–30.
