After much anticipation, it is finally here.
Taylor Swift has unleashed her re-recored version of ‘1989,’ now dubbed ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version).’ The project is packed with some of her biggest hits like ‘Style,’ and ‘Shake It Off.’ However, it includes five new tracks from the vault.

5. Now That We Don’t Talk
‘Now That We Don’t Talk’ serves as the shortest track from the vault and as a result does not have enough time to shine. However, Swift’s pen is still sharp and she expertly details a failed relationship in that time in a way only she can.

Swift examines some of her biggest insecurities in another details track. Similar to ‘Anti-Hero’ in the vein of self-deprecation, Swift declares that she doesn’t care about the greater world view of her romantic life.

‘Suburban Legends’ may be a vault track, but it could easily just as much have found a home on her ‘Midnights’ album with its bouncing chords and its yearning to be something more. However, Swift is left to accept her fate at the end of the song. But Swift will always be a legend whether in suburbia or not.

‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ has had the best vault tracks so far, and the top 2 songs are among her best works in pop music. Take for example, ‘Say Don’t Go,’ which she penned with Dianne Warren. High-stakes drama mixed with nostalgic synthesizers make the song a staple in Swift’s discography.
