Jimmy Fallon took a break from his hosting duties of NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show’ to hop over to ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to promote his latest holiday single, ‘Wrap Me Up.’
Featuring GRAMMY-winning Pop star Meghan Trainor, the appearance marked the first live performance the Gian Stone-produced cut has gotten since it arrived on digital shelves November 17.
Did you miss the fun and festive action on Monday night’s ‘Kimmel’ (November 27)? No worries; we’ve got you covered.
The performance came the same day Billboard unveiled its refreshed Digital Song Sales chart that shows ‘Wrap’ written in the #5 spot.
Coming as the week’s highest-charting new entry, the song outsold current hits like Taylor Swift‘s ‘Cruel Summer,’ Doja Cat‘s ‘Paint the Town Red,’ and Tate McRae‘s ‘Greedy‘ as well as seasonal favorites like Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ and Cher‘s ‘DJ Play a Christmas Song.’
And while the absence of equally handsome streams and radio spins hindered ‘Wrap’ from entering the Hot 100, its out-of-the-box commercial performance suggests it’s well on its way to cracking the all-genre chart.
