“Changed the game with that digital drop!” – Beyonce
Time flies because today marks 10 years (yes, 10 years) since Beyonce unleashed ‘Beyonce’ – her self-titled visual album – and changed the music industry forever.
Arriving as a surprise release sans any forewarning, the project landed in tandem with music videos for every single song – including classics such as ‘Drunk in Love’ and ‘Flawless.’
A mega-seller and a cultural milestone, today sees many in the singer’s loyal Hive reflecting on the impact of the multi-platinum game-changing LP.
Now, Queen Bey has joined in the celebration.
See what we mean below…
Moments ago, the superstar – who is continuing to ride the wave of success of her monumental ‘Renaissance’ album – shared a celebratory video toasting the ‘Beyonce’ album and era:

This was big… a moment for sure…
I loved this album. I do miss Beyonce singing. Her bday/sasha era was epic.
She sang all over Renaissance!
A real body of work! 🙂
What a time
Happy I got to witness this.
Funny, I feel bad you had to go through it lol
You’re miserable
Bey the game changer! Nothing was ever the same in the industry after this 👑
None of these flop songs are still played today. All hype. Smoke and mirrors. Marketing tactics. Floppppp!
“Maraj”? As in Nicki? If so you would know all about smoke and mirrors ☕️🫖
Exactly. Her stuff be so poorly executed. Hollering over attempted “edgy, futuristic” beats with that thick southern accent. And runs that sound like gargling in the background with that deep husky tone. It’s a hard pass for me. 😆🗑️
