Chart Check: Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ Becomes the First Album By a Black Woman To Spend OVER 400 Weeks on the Billboard 200

2016’s ‘Anti,’ the last studio album from Rihanna featuring the hits ‘Love on the Brain,’ ‘Work,’ and ‘Kiss It Better,’ has puckered up to smooch yet another Billboard 200 record.

401 weeks after its #27 Billboard 200 debut in 2016, ‘Anti’ is listed at #78 on the updated edition of the tally.

Extending its reign as the longest-charting album by a Black female performer in the hitlist’s history, the news comes as the latest nod to the wildly successful project which is currently listed as one of the best-performing projects of the millennium overall (thanks to the 11 million+ copies its sold to date).

Among all women, only Adele‘s ’21’ (593 weeks), Lana Del Rey‘s ‘Born To Die’ (517), and Taylor Swift‘s ‘1989’ (473 weeks) have accumulated more time on the tally.
