With the clock ticking toward one of WM’s biggest precursor events (the January 27-airing ‘Royal Rumble’), WWE seized the momentum surrounding the latter to announce the theme song of the former.
Drawing from The Weeknd‘s critically acclaimed fifth studio album, ‘DAWN FM,’ yet again, the sports entertainment organization unveiled ‘Gasoline‘ as the pick for WM’s 40th anniversary (as seen above).
The selection follows his hits ‘Blinding Lights,’ ‘Save Your Tears,’ ‘Sacrifice,’ and ‘Less Than Zero’ which were attached to the respective WMs leading up to 2024.
While some diehard fans of the GRAMMY winner rejoiced at the appointment, others didn’t hesitate to take to Twitter to voice their disappointment.
