August 2024 will mark five years since the world got its first official taste of former Fifth Harmony star Normani as a solo act with the Ilya-produced, Platinum-selling smash ‘Motivation.’
And while the R&B stageblazer has changed creative direction and fueled fan excitement multiple times in the time since with promises her long-awaited debut album would “come soon,” she recently took to press to confirm that 2024 is without a doubt the year her beloved supporters – affectionately called the #NormaniNation – will finally get what they have been waiting for.

Taking to Park City, Utah with ‘Freaky Tales’ castmates for the Sundace Film Festival premiere of the movie on Thursday (January 18), Normani – when not turning heads on the red carpet – dished with the press about her debut major acting role and more.
Nothing got tongues wagging more than what she said about music, however.
“The singles have changed; you guys won’t know what’s coming,” she said before confirming the project is coming “this year.”
Later in the short statement the 27-year-old beamed when revealing it’s “the best music she’s ever made” and that its delayed arrival will be “worth the wait.”
At the time of this report she did not detail a specific release date.
