Ari Lennox sent shockwaves through her fan base over the weekend when she took to social media to recount her difficult time as a supporting act on Rod Wave‘s 2023 ‘Nostalgia Tour.’

Claiming she was “never comfortable,” the particularly vulnerable revelation was not directed to Wave or his team but more so the audience.

“I just remember every show, just racing to get off stage, racing to get through my set,” she shared before saying, “It was tough and it was heavy on my soul, especially the day when the bottle happened because that side of the stage, like, I felt the energy. It was just all darkness.”

The details of the “lonely’ and “hard” two-month experience garnered an outpouring of sympathy from Ari’s fans and fellow artists alike.

Among the latter was producer extraordinaire Jermaine Dupri – the craftsman behind the singer’s biggest hit ‘Pressure.’

According to reports, the remix Dupri is actually referring to is Long’s current hit ‘Made For Me‘ (which is sitting at #2 on the current Billboard R&B charts).
