Saweetie Teases New Movie, Album, & Songs ‘Richtivities’ and ‘All Night’ with K-Pop Group IVE

Don’t think the absence of her serially delayed debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ means Saweetie is resting on her laurels.

The project – orginally due in summer 2021 – is undergoing an extensive revamp conceptually and sonically.

“I honestly have an ample amount of songs. It’s all about figuring out what kind of story I want to tell,” she said recently. “I don’t know if I want a linear story…I don’t want it to be an album just full of hits. Yes, I want it to have hits but I want the songs to correlate with one another.”

Until she’s ready to lift the lid on official news surrounding the LP, however, she’s building an entertainment portfolio across multiple genres that will keep her in the public eye until the set is done baking.

Over the last month Saweetie has been hot on the promo trail in support of the Icy Baby Foundation – and nonprofit organization which aims to improve financial literacy across Black and Brown communities.

While chatting with the likes of ‘The Wrap,’ Apple Music, Forbes, and more, the ‘Tap In’ hitmaker tapped in to discussions about her other entertainment dealings.

“I really appreciate being in other creative settings. I feel like it makes me more creative and I love seeing how other creatives work,” she shared in relation to a secret film project she’s been working on. “Acting is a whole different ballgame than music.”

The quote above surfaced just days before it was announced she was officially joining the season 3 cast of STARZ hit series ‘BMF.’

Venturing into more acting gigs certainly hasn’t taken her focus away from music, though.

In August 2023 the Bay Area beauty dropped new songs ‘Birthday’ and ‘Shot O’clock’ (as we reported here), then kicked off the new year teasing the new cut ‘Richtivities‘ (heard above).

Elsewhere, she’s joined forces with K-Pop girl group IVE for their debut English single ‘All Night.’

Ahead of its arrival on January 18, hear a snippet below.

Girl… No. You still don’t understand what artistry is all about. You’re not an artist, just an opportunist so keep on recording as many songs as you want while you don’t even know what you want to talk about 😂

Chile, I’m not even able to lie to yall. I forgot all about Saweetie. I’m sorry, but she is not missable. Cute, girl, but her music doesn’t stick. Saweetie needs to get into acting, and doing commercials.
