Kanye West and Ty Dolla‘s new album ‘Vultures 1’ may be encased in all kinds of controversy, but that hasn’t stopped the set from blasting in at #1 on the Billboard 200.

With the final numbers tallied, the independent project – which serves as the first part of a three-project arc – launches atop of the coveted count with:
148,000 Units
Streaming led the charge for project. For, of the total sum, 129,000 units were accrued via 167.78 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 16 songs. Pure sales, which were reportedly bolstered by discounted pricing, totalled 18,000 units.
A physical release is set for a later date, with pre-orders live on West’s website.
The release sees West now tie Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand with 11 #1’s apiece. It marks Ty Dolla $ign’s first chart-topper – besting his previous peak of #4 with 2020’s ‘Featuring Ty Dolla $ign.’
Guests on ‘Vultures 1’ include West’s 10-year-old daughter, North West, Chris Brown, Travis Scott, and Playboi Carti.
With follow-ups set for March 8 and April 5, buzz surrounds who else will be joining the duo on their musical voyage.
The chart win comes after ‘Vultures 1’ was briefly removed from Apple Music due to a distributor dispute and as the likes of Ozzy Osbourne and the Estate of Donna Summer hit out at the release over the alleged use of uncleared samples.

To me this proves that the SB doesn’t do chit for your album sales. Either people FWU or they dont
It’s just free streaming numbers. Usher sold more in pure sales and Usher didn’t perform anymore from Coming Home during the SB.

First album out the gate without Roc-A-Fella, Def Jam or any of the big hands in the pot. This is a sign for anyone who wants to break away and have freedom of throught and insight. You don’t have to be a s**** to the machine or the cults. This is an amazing feature for music, Kanye aside. Independent artists are winning, celebrities are leaving their labels and having successful careers on their own. It takes work but so much has been proven with Ye and Ty $ this album is a makeshift period in music that says the people are still alive and listening! And the two of them look great together. Great artistic chemistry. Twin where have you been! Vultures 2 hopefully will slay too.

But Usher sold more in pure sales, Kanye and Ty two fan bases combined couldn’t get them to crack 20k. BTW Chris Brown last 2 albums sold less than 10k each in pure sales LMAO Usher just sold over 50k in pure sales in the 30th year of his career now STFU
