Kelly Rowland may be hot on the promo trail in support of her own February 23-due new Netflix movie ‘Mea Culpa,’ but that hasn’t stopped her from showing love to some other highly anticipated films.
Spotted at the red carpet at the premiere of ‘Bob Marley: One Love‘ at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles recently, the singer-actress dazzled as she chatted it up with the press about her love for Marley as well as her own upcoming ventures.
When she caught up with ET’s Kevin Frazier, he quizzed her about JAY-Z’s headline-grabbing comments criticizing the Recording Academy for snubbing her bestie (and his wife) Beyonce for the ceremony’s top trophy multiple times over her career.

Rowland wasn’t shy about her praise of JAY for his bravery in that moment.
“Shawn Carter is one of the greatest men I know and his words ring so loud to me. I couldn’t be more proud of him,” she shared before saying, “I’m just really happy for a lot of things that he said. I think that he made a lot of artists feel very seen and very heard in those minutes that he took on stage.”
Later in her chat with Frazier, Kelly – a 4x GRAMMY winner herself – also shared some adulation for Bey.
“I feel like she is an icon… and that’s for a reason — it’s because she starts trends. She is innovative, her thoughts are big and bright and she just jumps for them and does it,” Rowland relayed. “I think that her albums are a reflection of that, and it should be really celebrated in that way. Album of the Year? A couple times! I’m not saying that because it’s my sister, I’m saying it because it’s the truth. I’ve seen the blood, sweat and tears that she puts into these projects, and her thoughts and her heart and her passion and her soul.”
