Taking to Instagram on Friday morning (February 9), Kelly stunned her fans with the official announcement her next traditional LP – the successor to 2019’s ‘Inspired by True Events’ – will hit shelves on April 5.
“i am thrilled to announce that my self-titled album ‘TORI.’ is out on 4/5 & u can pre-order it now. ps. ‘high water’ out now,” she told her 4.3 million followers on the platform.
Already available for pre-order, the opus is preceded by the new single ‘High Water.’
“Something is comin’ in the mornin’ / If I can make it through the night / Whatever comes, Hell or high water / I know, I know what’s on the other side,” she wails on the Tenroc & Jon Bellion-produced tune.

Sounds like a vibe! Too bad her tori album didn’t get much buzz. Glad she’s pushing forward and releasing another material. Even though this is a gospel song, it sound like it can be sent on regular radio to appeal to the ever-day listeners. That African-inspired choir at the chorus were brilliant!
She’s really tapping into her black roots isn’t she?
Lets hope it just a phase.
Beautiful voice but her music is boring
keeps Blackfishing us…
She had been a White woman all her life, why wait until now to be Black…. When you are White woman, your music won’t sell. I don’t see how your music will sell even more now
Thanks anyway Tori.
I kinda like it. Sounds dated though, like it would fit an emotional scene in Dawson’s Creek. Flo makes similar music, but the difference is that it somehow has a freshness to it.
Beautiful black queen
