Watch: Usher Talks Justin Bieber, Super Bowl Halftime Show, & Rumored Chris Brown Feud on ‘Breakfast Club’

Published: Saturday 17th Feb 2024 by Rashad

Usher‘s blazing halftime show at the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday (February 11) is still among the week’s hottest topics, so it would only be fitting the R&B superstar – who is gearing up to take his electrifying moves on the road via the highly anticipated ‘Past Present Future Tour‘ – is still fielding some lingering questions around the big game.

Beyond the criticism for his ‘My Boo‘ performance with Alicia Keys, some viewers were still stuck on the absence of expected guest Justin Bieber.

Taking to ‘The Breakfast Club‘ recently, Ush not only addressed the aforementioned but also talked about his rumored feud with Chris Brown and so much more.

USHER ON WHY BIEBER-SUPER BOWL COLLABORATION DIDN’T WORK OUT:

“It might have been the fact that he wants to tell a different story and I understand that. We did have a brief conversation and we’re going to do something else in the future. No love lost,” said Usher before “professing over Bieber’s life” that he will one day do his own Super Bowl halftime show.

USHER ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIS BROWN:

“I did not reach out to Chris Brown [to collaborate with me at the Super Bowl],” the 45-year-old said before denying rumors of a feud stemming from a physical fight at the 2023 Lovers & Friends fest. “No issues between me and that man; we’re good.”

He said he reached out to some “heavy hitters.” I wonder if Bey turned it down? They have the ‘love in this club’ remix.

Of course he didn’t reach out to CB because he would get embarrassed on live tv. He’s Chris browns lesser in every aspect!

    • MecostaDenada February 17, 2024

      Nobody, Chile.

  7. Clover February 17, 2024

If I’m not mistaken, Chris Brown violently assaulted Usher. Why would Usher then turn around and share his platform with him? Make it make sense lol

  8. Eric February 17, 2024

Usher knows Chris would’ve taken full advantage of any little moment he was given, and he has the talent to do so. Justin is more chill, more tame, so I can see Usher not having a problem asking him.

    • Hemi February 17, 2024

At least Justin’s mic would be on, without assistance from autotune lmaoooo Chrack Brown could never

  9. Homeseopt February 17, 2024

Usher is a flop and struggling to crack 80k. Super Bowl flopped, tour flopping, he’s done. CB is the king of R&B. R.kelly is right behind him. Usher isn’t even in the running.

    • Raymond February 18, 2024

You must be high on drugs. Cb is not the king of anything sonic. Let me know when all of Chris albums collectively beat 8701 and confessions alone. A bunch of seat fillers here and there. There’s a difference between wanna be hits and classics. CB will never be a classic
