Moments ago, organizers for the annual extravaganza trumpeted the news that Queen Bey will be in attendance at the April 1 ceremony, where she will be bestowed with the honor.

The Innovator Award is presented to an artist who is “continuously contributing to Pop culture and the music industry.”

Previous honorees include Alicia Keys,  Taylor Swift, and Bruno Mars.

Beyonce’s attendance will come just days after she releases her hotly anticipated new album, ‘Cowboy Carter’ (due on March 29). The LP is home to Billboard Hot 100 #1 single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ – which recently hit the top 10 of US radio.

Ludacris hosts the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, which takes place on Monday, April 1 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The rapper will also perform on a lineup that includes previously announced names Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Tate McRae.

With ample reason to tune in, the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards airs LIVE on April 1 (8.00 pm-10.00 p.m. ET live / PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Stop with these lies please, you’re only making her look foolish when the real sales come in lol.

I’m sorry you can’t give someone an innovator award when all she does is copy or take from others. Long form videos (known as visual albums today) were done by the likes of MJ, Janet, Madonna and Prince to name a few. She copied her staging, single ladies choreography stolen, as was her in the song with Kendrick. Female group format copied from Diana Ross. I mean the list goes on. Why does she get soo much credit for simply combining everything other people have already done? The cult of Beyonce is strong I tell ya lol.

Ok, and all of those people were inspired by people before them. She hasn’t taken s*** from others. And being inspired and making something your own is being innovating. Because everything comes from somewhere. Your point is moot. If you don’t like her just say that or better yet just keep scrolling. Just because you can say something doesn’t mean you should.

You should take your own advice in this case then 😂😂😂. I didn’t say the h** wasn’t talented, I said she’s a copycat! And being inspired by someone and stating that fact versus trying to make others believe she did it first is the issue. I’ll always give credit when due, but refuse to acknowledge a thief!

Good points! I’ll admit, she, along with every other artist of today, copied a lot from those artists that you named and/or others. MJ, Prince, Madonna, etc., they were the best hands down. But MJ and Prince, as innovative as they were, copied a lot from James Brown, Little Richard, Jemi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, etc. Madonna was inspired by artists before her, like Grace Jones and borrowed a lot from R&B music, fusing it with pop. There is nothing new under the sun. For example, Michael, who most famously premiered the moonwalk on Motown 25, got that move from people like Jeffrey Daniel’s of Shalamar, who in turn got it from street dancers. Beyonce was inspired by (or copied, call it what you want) the best, who were also inspired by artists before them, and now newer artists are clearly inspired by (or copying) Beyonce. Like the other artists named above, she puts her own spin on everything she does and is certainly innovative in the sense that she continues to take risks in exploring different sounds and not being placed in a box as an artist. While Prince certainly bended and blended genres, Beyonce’s body of work is arguably even moreso diverse. She deserves this award as an artist of this generation.

I give Beyonce credit for her witchcraft and Satanism. She is good, but she definitely used dark forces to get where she is, and to remain there.

An innovator award to a person that needs 20 songwriters and has been sued for plagiarism? Make it make sense LOL.
