Taking to press, Talk of the Charts shared that Grande’s song ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)’ is now pacing for a #1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“Ariana Grande’s ‘we can’t be friends (wait for your love)’ is now pacing for a #1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 following a significant gain in streams on Monday’s US Spotify update,” the outlet said.
The song saw significant gains in streams both in the United States and Globally. In the US, the song hit #1 on Spotify with 2.644 million streams, a gain of 20%.
Globally, ‘We Can’t Be Friends’ held the #1 spot on Spotify with 9.106 million streams, which is up 23%.
If the song manages to debut at #1 it would be her second from ‘Eternal Sunshine’ after ‘Yes, And?’ did so earlier this year.
