Camila Cabello is revealing the real reason she left her group Fifth Harmony.

On the latest episode of the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, Cabello appears and talks about her split from the girl group.
“I can remember waking up on tour and going to my hotel room at like 7 a.m. and going to my garage band and like writing songs, cause I didn’t want to do it while everybody was there and I had such a passion that turned into writing. And at first I was like, ‘Oh maybe I wanna write for other people.’ But then it turned into like, ‘No, actually I want to sing these songs by myself,” she said.
“I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like you know they were still really passionate and into that and so, I was just like, ‘I’m not happy here anymore, it doesn’t feel aligned,'” she continued.
However, Cabello looks fondly on her time with the group.
“I feel like I can really focus on and remember the really joyful times. And I grew a lot in that group,” she said.

Now if everyone remembers the story was Taylor Swift encouraged her to go solo and she had the support of her fan base when she did. Not to mention going on tour with Taylor, sitting next to her at award shows etc. when Taylor stopped being her buddy, those sales dropped! Camila ALWAYS thought she was better than she actually was and now maybe she is seeing the group might be the better option to return to the star she once was. Normani might not have released an album, but she was the only other solo success from the group and that was without the Taylor Swift effect! Yes Normani had industry support from other artists, but she NEVER had the push from her record label that Camila had so she truly didn’t have an equal opportunity.
