Moments ago, the ‘Paint the Town Red’ chart-topper emotionally laid bare the rationale for her decision, which she insists is anchored in the way she’s “spoken to and treated” on the social media platform.
She wrote:
“Hey, I’m gonna deactivate because I’m not really feeling this anymore. You guys take care of yourselves. I like coming here to find inspo and see people being creative, but I just feel like this is getting to be too much. The way I’m spoken to on here and treated makes me have f*cked up thoughts. Please watch how you talk to and about people on the Internet. Bye.”
Update: Doja has updated the caption to simply read “peeeeace.”

All celebs should stay off social media honestly. Back in the day, there was mystery around celebs. They could be awful people but we never knew. Today, everyone puts all their s*** on social media.
