Kelly Rowland has broken her silence on the Cannes red carpet moment that had social media buzzing.
In the now viral clip, the GRAMMY winner was seen admonishing security at the event which appeared to be unfairly rushing her along on the red carpet.
Now, in an interview with the Associated Press, Ms. Kelly has addressed the drama and insisted “I stood my ground.”

When quizzed on the matter, the singer/actress said:
“The woman knows what happened. I know what happened. And I have a boundary and I stand by those boundaries. And that is it.”
Continuing, Rowland importantly pointed out:
“There were other women on that carpet that did not quite look like me – and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off. Or told to get off. And I stood my ground.”

The red carpet team certainly hasn’t said anything to Heidi Klum doing her thing right in the middle of the steps.

My understanding was she didnât get a chance to speak to a lot of press and pose for photographers cuz the event handlers were ushering her to move quickly. They prob felt not many reporters wanted to ask her anything..which is sadâŚ
