It’s been nearly 20 years since actor-rapper Will Smith last saw his name attached to a credit on the Billboard Hot 100, but that could be set to change soon thanks to his new song ‘You Can Make It.’
“You are in the smoke and the fire / Tight rope on the wire / I see you’re broken and tired / And all your hope is expired / You’re just done with the change and the games and the shame / And the world is insane, all the pain from the flames,” he raps on the Ayo the Producer-helmed cut.
Featuring Fridayy and the soaring melodies of the Sunday Service Choir, ‘Make It’ was teased earlier this week alongside the unexpected announcement that Smith would take to the 2024 BET Awards to perform the inspirational tune.

Gay men making gospel music now!? Ms. Kirk Franklin going to throw shade at Ms. Will because of this.
Jealous ass h**
Despite the media’s best efforts, the public said they weren’t canceling Will Smith, so he’s back to being treated like the bankable star and draw that he is.
LOL that’s only stupid black people, mainstream white america, his REAL audience, is done with him, so he’s back on the chitlin circuit (BET Awards), a show he hasn’t step foot on in over 20 years.
It’s not bad. Sunday Service works effectively, especially at the 2.30ish mark. The autotune chorus wrecks it. Shame he didn’t collaborate with someone who could actually sing this with real emotion
Good observation and summation.
It’s unexpected, but I like the message and I love this comeback for Will. There’s a reason why Chris has two projects lined up while Will has 16.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he can’t be serious
