Latto fans (affectionately called #Lucky7s) apparently couldn’t wait to get a taste of ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea‘ – the rapper’s August 9-released studio album.

Her first project since storming the Billboard 200’s top 20 with 2022’s ‘777,’ ‘Tea’ boasts contributions from Cardi B, Ciara, Megan Thee Stallion, CoCo Jones, Flo Milli, Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, and Earl on the Beat among its ingredients – a mix that not only led the new LP to critical acclaim but also a handsome commercial response out-of-the-box.

Now with its inaugural sales tracking week at the midway mark, industry analysts are already predicting the numbers that will accompany the opus to charts will be her highest to date.

Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS):  26,000-30,000 units

Predicted Billboard 200 Debut:  #14-#17

If the upper end of the prediction above rings true the numbers will be the biggest first-week figures to ever accompany a Latto album to the Billboard 200.

Her previous best is the #15 placement of ‘777’ accomplished courtesy of 24,000 units sold in its opening week.

Among all female Rap albums released in 2024, Latto would come as the second highest behind the top 5 arrival of her ‘Squeeze‘ co-star Megan Thee Stallion‘s self-titled effort released in June.
