Critics and fans agree that Latto hit the jackpot with her sophomore studio album, ‘777.’

Released March 25, the star-studded project – which features the likes of 21 Savage, Kodak Black, Childish Gambino, Lil Wayne, and Lil Durk across its 13 tracks – entered the Billboard race last week as one of the season’s most anticipated offerings among female rappers.

That excitement was due in great part to the breakout success of the set’s housed single, ‘Big Energy,’ which was given a big boost courtesy of a remix featuring legendary diva Mariah Carey.

Billboard 200 Debut:  #15

The self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Da Souf’ reigns on Billboard charts with the week’s highest-charting new female Rap album.

Debuting at #15 on the Billboard 200 thanks to sales of approximately 24,000 units, the RCA Records release not only comes as the best sales figure Latto’s known but also her highest placement on the tally to date.  It outpaces her previous best, the 14,300 units that accompanied her debut album to its #44 perch (as we reported here).
