Shawn Mendes sent his beloved fans into a frenzy last week with the unexpected announcement of not one, but two new singles arriving to digital shelves ahead of the October 18 release of his eponymous fifth studio album.
Titled ‘Why Why Why’ and ‘Isn’t That Enough,’ the double song drop is due August 8 (to coincide with his 26th birthday).
As if the new music news wasn’t enough to excite, the Canadian hitmaker followed with a report that he’ll be taking the new tunes on the road as part of an intimate theater tour.

Taking to Instagram shortly after the album news reveal, Shawn announced plans to hit the road.
“[I] wanted the first shows back to be special & to play this album for you live in the places we recorded it,” he wrote to his 72 million followers on Instagram. “I’ve never played an album top to bottom before but it’s already one of my favourite shows I’ve ever rehearsed. I love you guys, the band and I can’t wait to see you!”
The short-but-sweet string of shows will kick off in Woodstock, New York on Shawn’s birthday before venturing to London, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more ahead of its close in Seattle on October 24.
