T.I. has rendered a surprisingly positive response to the hoopla around his most recent headline-grabbing run-in with the law.
Details inside.
As previously reported, the 3x GRAMMY winner – born Clifford Harris – rocked headlines earlier this week when he was arrested at the Hartsfield-Jackson airport in Atlanta on what reports have indicated might be a case of “mistaken identity.”
When spotted in Beverly Hills by TMZ on Thursday (August 8), the ‘Rubber Band Man‘ suggested he’s already bounced back from the embarrassing event.
“They was just doing they job,” he told the outlet (as seen in the video above). “Upset by it? I try to get rid of emotion and deal with the facts at hand. So once you deal with the facts at hand, your emotions ain’t involved. I don’t know, man, I mean, it sucks to say man. But at least this time, man, it was minor injury, maximum lesson learned. It’s all good. I have no interest in politics.”
The impromptu interview came just a day before T.I. was back in the news regarding a legal woe – this time for a court dismissing a sexual assault lawsuit against the rapper and his celebrity wife Tiny (born Tameka Harris) for an incident that allegedly occurred in 2005.
“The court agreed with [the Harrises] that the Jane Doe doesn’t appear to have any viable claims,” a spokesperson for the couple relayed in a recent statement. “As Tip and Tameka stated three years ago, these allegations are some of the many false, salacious allegations [in] the media in a cheap attempt to extort money from them.”
The rep’s statement echoes one made by the couple’s lawyer who asserted that they not only deny the assault actually happened but also that the statute of limitations for such allegation had “long expired.”
WTH is wrong with all these trashy Black rappers?????
