Morgan Wallen has put a halt to the historic #1 run of Shaboozey‘s breakout hit ‘A Bar Song‘ the very week the song was set to tie a jaw-dropping Hot 100 record.

Wallen’s latest, ‘Love Somebody,’ is this week’s Hot 100 champion. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

• Sales ≈ 17,000 digital downloads
• Radio airplay ≈ 15.2 million audience impressions

Dethroning Shaboozey after the Nigerian star’s historic 15-week reign, ‘Somebody’ blocked ‘Bar’ from nabbing a 16th week atop the all-genre chart – a stay that would tie it with the longest-reigning #1 hit by a solo male act in the Hot 100’s 66-year history.

Ironically, it’s Morgan’s smash – ‘Last Night‘ – set that 16-week record in 2023.

When all Hot 100 #1s are considered, only Luis Fonsi, Justin Bieber, and Daddy Yankee‘s ‘Despacito‘ (16 weeks), Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men‘s ‘One Sweet Day’ (16 weeks), and Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ ‘Old Town Road’ (19 weeks) have enjoyed more time atop the hitlist
