With GRAMMY buzz abound, Kendrick Lamar‘s 2024 anthem ‘Not Like Us‘ is not only etching milestones in his personal logs but in overall Billboard record books as well.
Details inside.
Easily one of the songs of Summer, ‘Not Like Us’ – released May 4 – is still finding a home on the Hot 100 well into Fall with no signs of falling off.
Placed at #11 this week, the Mustard-produced bop is enjoying its 22nd week of printing on the all-genre chart – making it Lamar’s third longest-charting solo hit to date.
His only unaccompanied tracks to boast longer tenancy were 2017’s ‘Humble‘ (37 weeks) and ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)‘ (29 weeks).
As if that personal milestone news isn’t enough to gloat about, the 17-time GRAMMY winner can now boast ownership of the longest-reigning #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart as ‘Not Like Us’ logged its unprecedented 21st week atop the hitlist.
Launched in 1989, the tally ranks the 25 most popular Rap and Hip-Hop songs based on radio airplay, streams, and digital downloads.
‘Not Like Us’ snatched the crown this week from Lil Nas X‘s history-making 2019 hit ‘Old Town Road.’
