JAY-Z has long been clear that he’s not just a businessman – he’s a business, man.
And his latest move reaffirms that in earnest.
For, the mogul has re-upped his deal with the NFL to keep Roc Nation in pole position when it comes to the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Full story below…
HOV and the NFL inked their initial deal in 2019 for a five-year term.
The agreement installed Roc Nation in the co-producer seat for the globally-renowned spectacle and brought with it record-breaking ratings for Halftimes by the likes of Usher and Jennifer Lopez & Shakira,
Now, the league has confirmed that they have renewed the pact.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed the news during the league’s annual owners meeting in Atlanta.
Goodell deemed the relationship as “mutually positive” and added:
“I’m not sure either one of us really spend much time talking about contracts. Jay is happy. Desiree Perez is happy. I’m happy, so we’re all good.”
Details haven’t been divulged and it’s not known, as of writing, what the new term is.
What is for sure is that Roc Nation looks set to be at the helm of Halftime for the foreseeable.
And we’re here for it!
As reported, Kendrick Lamar has been tapped to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans on February 9.
