Brandy & Monica Say They’re Down for a NEW Duet Following Success of Ariana Grande’s ‘Boy Is Mine (Remix)’: “It’s Like Magic When We Get Together”

Like their dedicated fans, Brandy and Monica were shocked to learn their reunion aboard Ariana Grande‘s ‘Eternal Sunshine‘ hit ‘Boy Is Mine‘ will be competing for a GRAMMY Award at Sunday’s ceremony (February 2).

A victory would be a full-circle moment for the duo who captured their first golden gramophone at the show’s 1999 iteration.

Taking to press recently, the R&B icons shared what the new recognition means to them and teased there could be a chance they will be reconnecting in a studio in the future for yet another chance at GRAMMY gold together.

Catching up with ‘People,’ the R&B divas reflected on how special the Grande-led reunion was for them with Mo calling the moment a “blessing.”

“It was nothing short of a blessing for Brandy and I not only to reconnect, but to reconnect and do something as special as this innovative version of ‘The Boy Is Mine.’ She and I had not seen each other for many years, so it gave us the opportunity to talk not just about the song, but life as a whole,” said Monica (born Monica Arnold).

Bran (born Brandy Norwood) echoed the sentiment.

“[The reunion] was about more than just music,” Norwood relayed. “[It] transported us back to that period of our lives and our careers — such a transformative and explosive time.”

When quizzed on if the ‘Boy Is Mine (Remix)’ will be the last time fans will hear them together, the songstresses suggested such was not the case.

“It’s like magic when Monica and I get together. Who knows what could be in store for us?,” Brandy asked after Arnold declared she would “absolutely” be down for another duet.

The statements come as the latest tease from the divas of the potential for a follow-up to 2012’s ‘It All Belongs to Me,’ with Norwood even previously expressing openness to joining Monica on a tour or a Vegas residency.

    2025 Version:

Brandy, Monica and the boy are polygamist.

Keep it! That remix is mediocre and cringe. These two ashy flops are so irrelevant after 2000s

These old hens need to move on. They’re flops

No offense but I wish they would just move on from this song. They tried this back in the day with it all belong to me. The song underperformed. Let’s just leave the original song where it’s at. I mean how many remixes, revamps and sample do we need?
