With the efforts to extinguish the Los Angeles wildfires ongoing, Chris Brown has weighed in on the prisoners enlisted to help.

Taking to Instagram, Brown wrote:
“LA…Make sure y’all throw a ceremony or parade for these firefighters and first responders after this. Also, the prisoners who were out there risking they lives need time knocked off their sentence. Just saying.”
The unprecedented fires have swept through Los Angeles (most recently the Archer Fire in Granada Hulls) and seen the likes of Jhene Aiko and Tina Knowles lose their homes.
I’m not saying you’re dumb I’m just questioning where the journalism is. The prisoners participating in this are apart of a program that has been around since 1940. I won’t tell you the name, because you should do your job. The program not only pays these prisoners low wages. But they DO indeed earn time off their sentences after completion of the program and other factors like good behavior etc. These are low level security prisoners by the way. Just give a job.
